The Minnesota Chemical Dependency Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Individuals is able to provide training sessions on substance abuse and deafness.
Trainings can be arranged for various lengths of time and covering a range of topics. The
MCDPDHHI has final approval of all training topics to be offered. All training fees are
subject to negotiations and are pending until a final agreement between the Minnesota
Chemical Dependency Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals and the agency
requesting the training has been confirmed in writing. The Minnesota Chemical
Dependency Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals (MCDPDHHI) highly recommends
an agreement whereby the local agency and MCDPDHHI co-sponsor the training event. The
following example of arrangements assumes a co-sponsorship agreement:
The MCDPDHHI will provide the following:
- Trainer(s) for the training session or workshop.
- Information for advertising.
- Masters for handouts.
- Outlines of all sessions that are part of the training.
- Evaluation forms and report.
The co-sponsoring agency will provide the following:
- Advertising and recruiting of participants.
- Registration of participants.
- Interpreter services as necessary.
- Audiovisual and other equipment.
- Training space.
- Copies of training handouts.
- Information about the participants to the MCDPDHHI.
The MCDPDHHI is also willing to work with agencies for a flat fee without a sponsorship
agreement. If the MCDPDHHI assumes full responsibility for all organization and
implementation of the training, the above fees apply plus a charge for advertising,
recruiting, training space, handout preparation and other set up activities.
Individuals or organizations who are interested in scheduling a training session are
encouraged to contact the MCDPDHHI well in advance of the anticipate training dates.
Availability is determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Training sessions are
considered to be confirmed once a training agreement is signed by the MCDPDHHI and the
co-sponsoring agency.
A training contract is provided that can be printed from
your web browser. For more information about trainings or assistance in completing the
contract please contact us by calling 1-800-282-3323 v/tty or by E-Mail
